Sahpathi is a school management platform built for Indian schools. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our platform at sahpathi.co.in or through our mobile application. We do not sell your data to third parties — ever.
Information We Collect
- ✓School administrators: Name, email address, phone number, school details.
- ✓Teachers: Name, email, phone, assigned classes.
- ✓Students: Name, class, roll number, date of birth, parent contact details, fee records, attendance records.
- ✓Parents: Name, phone number, email address.
- ✓Device info: FCM token for push notifications (mobile app only).
- ✓Location data: GPS coordinates of school buses only — not personal location.
How We Use Your Information
- ✓To provide and operate the school management platform.
- ✓To send push notifications, WhatsApp messages, and emails for attendance, fees, announcements, and diary updates.
- ✓To track school bus locations and notify parents when the bus is nearby.
- ✓To generate fee receipts, report cards, and other school documents.
- ✓To improve our platform based on usage patterns.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Each school's data is completely isolated from other schools — only authorised users of your school can access your data.
Third-Party Services We Use
- ✓Firebase (Google): Push notifications
- ✓WhatsApp Business API (Meta): Automated WhatsApp notifications
- ✓Razorpay: Payment processing (if enabled by school)
- ✓Supabase: File storage (documents, photos)
Children's Privacy
Student data is collected and managed by the school administration, not directly by students. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without school authorisation.
Data Retention
We retain school data for the duration of the active subscription. Upon termination, data is available for export for 30 days, after which it is permanently deleted upon request.
